Roseville Taxis

Brilliant company! Reliable, safe drives and all very kind. I travel away from home for my degree, and use Roseville to travel from hotels to a clinic where I have to work. Early and late pick ups, and always feel safe. Great app for booking and paying in advance, 100% recommend them and I will be using them for the next 2years of my studies!

It’s a shame you can’t leave 0 stars, cause these guys don’t even deserve 1…. Pre booked a taxi with Roseville well in advance and they gave a price for the journey (£22.50). Then they called me 3 minutes before the time they were meant to collect us to saying that the journey would actually be £35. Not only that, they hadn’t even left yet, and did I still want the taxi!?! Leaving it that late clearly leaves us with very little choice for alternative arrangements unless we wanted to miss our mother’s 60th birthday party. The taxi driver arrived 20 minutes late, took us to our destination and then couldn’t take card payment (even though It said that was an option when booking). He told me I had to transfer directly to his bank account as he couldn’t take card….is this some kind of tax avoidance scheme?! Seems very dodgey. Also the amount of his phone said 22.50 but he charged me £35. Worst customer service ever. Would never use this taxi company again and have told all local family and friends what a con they are. Reading the reviews this seems to be quite common. Abort abort abort!

I have used Roseville for several years and more regularly over the last year. Just last week I spent at least £100 in multiple taxi journeys with my baby during a house move. They failed to offer me a fixed price for multiple journeys on this occasion and made no effort to further accommodate me to help during this stressful time. After being picked up by a driver who was clearly unhappy to help put 4 items in the car boot, he didn’t take out all items out on my drop off home. After calling the firm, I was told if I wanted my item returned I would either have to pay for the journey or collect at the base. Considering the amount I had already spent with this firm last week alone (never mind the past year) and needing to use cabs, collecting at their base wasn’t an option. Also as this was the drivers error, I was shocked again at the unwillingness to return this. After continually asking to speak to a manager (which I was told wasn’t available and not even advised that a manager would call me back) and declining to pay extra for this item to be returned, I was finally advised the driver would return it at some point that day. While putting my baby to bed, the driver returned the item around 7pm, with no apology just further complaint that I should’ve remembered the item. I’ve had enough of the rude drivers and their unwillingness to help, and when asked to help they have an attitude about it. I’ve only experienced 2 helpful drivers (when requesting them for another booking, the operator cannot ever advise if they can pick up) very rarely travelled in clean vehicles, and since being able to pay by card, drivers have either try to force cash payment or complain about card payment. I’ve had enough and will not be using the firm again!

Punishes loyalty. Good if you only need them once or twice a year. If you use Roseville once or twice, or you’re in the area and need a one off taxi. Roseville will be fine. But if you’re using them once a day or once a week, slowly you’ll see the service deteriorate. Even if you never make the taxi wait. It starts with being told the taxi will arrive in 10 minutes only for it to arrive in 20. Then they start not showing up. Then they lie and tell you they tried calling and waited 5 minutes before leaving even though you were waiting in the exact spot the whole time and the call logs on your phone can prove they never rang. I’ve never encountered another business that seemed to punish customer loyalty before but Roseville is here to prove me wrong. I may have said that Roseville are fine for a one off trip but given that what I described happened to everyone I know who used this company regularly, giving more than 1 star would be misleading
